Risks

Trading is risky. You can lose some or all of the money you trade. Nothing in Zauber is financial advice. Only trade amounts you can afford to lose.

Market risk

Prices move fast and can gap. A level you set is a trigger, not a promised price: when it triggers, the order swaps at the market price at that moment.

Stops may not protect you

A Guard (stop) can fill below its level, partly, or not at all. This can happen when the price jumps past it, when there is little liquidity, or when slippage is set tight. A trailing Guard follows the highest price with a delay; it does not react to every tick.

Custody while orders are open

While a price order is open, its funds sit in a custodial vault run by the order engine (see Orders and custody). You depend on that service to execute, cancel and return funds. If it stops working, your funds may be unavailable until it recovers.

Third-party infrastructure

Swaps, orders, prices and price history come from third-party services. Their APIs can change, slow down or fail. Parts of the order API are labelled beta by its provider. Zauber shows errors as they happen but cannot fix the services behind them.

Your wallet

  • Zauber never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is not Zauber.
  • Read your wallet's own preview before approving. If it differs from Zauber's review sheet, reject the request.
  • Signing a message proves you own the wallet; it moves no funds. Signing a transaction can move funds.

What Zauber cannot do

  • It cannot sign for you, trade on its own, or move funds without your signature.
  • It cannot undo a filled order or a swap.
  • It cannot return funds from the vault without a withdrawal signed by your wallet.

Stopping everything

  1. Open Orders.
  2. For each Waiting order, choose Cancel order and sign the withdrawal.
  3. For each Expired order, choose Withdraw funds and sign.
  4. Check your wallet's balance.
